On December 15, 2021. Mr. Naratorn Boonpiam and Mr. Tanakorn Karode, students of Master of Computing International Program under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Warodom Werapun, from the College of Computing, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus won the Merit Award for their work “PSU COIN” in the international software competition APICTA 2020-2021 held in Malaysia.
Mr. Naratorn Boonpiam explains that, before they could compete internationally, they had to win the competition at the national level and attend a training workshop hosted by the Association of Thai ICT Industry (ACTI) first. This is the second time that a team from Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus could compete in the international contest. We are proud to get this award as a student of the College of Computing and Prince of Songkla University.
Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the APICTA 2020-2021 Software Competition is held by combining the contestants’ submissions in 2020 and 2021 together at the online contest. นักศึกษา ป.โท CoC-PSU คว้ารางวัล Merit Award จากการแข่งขันประกวดซอฟต์แวร์ APICTA 2020-2021 ระดับนานาชาติ
เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2564 ที่ผ่านมา นายนราธร บุญเปี่ยม และ นายธนากร ก้าโหรด นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท สาขาวิชาการคอมพิวเตอร์ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) และ ผศ.ดร.วโรดม วีระพันธ์ อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา จากวิทยาลัยการคอมพิวเตอร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต ได้รับรางวัล Merit Award จากการแข่งขันประกวดซอฟต์แวร์ APICTA 2020-2021 ในชื่อผลงาน “PSU COIN” ณ ประเทศมาเลเซีย
นายธราธร บุญเปี่ยม ได้ให้ข้อมูลเพิ่มเติมว่า ก่อนจะได้เป็นตัวแทนในการแข่งขัน APICTA 2020-2021 ครั้งนี้ จะต้องผ่านการแข่งขันชนะเลิศเพื่อเป็นตัวแทนในระดับประเทศ และ ผ่านการฝึกอบรมจากสมาคมอุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศไทย (ACTI) ก่อน จากนั้นจึงได้ไปแข่งในสนามจริงในระดับนานาชาติ และครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นครั้งที่สองที่มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต ได้เป็นตัวแทนเข้าแข่งขันในการประกวดดังกล่าว ถือได้ว่าเป็นอีกรางวัลที่น่าภาคภูมิใจของวิทยาลัยการคอมพิวเตอร์ และมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ที่นักศึกษา อาจารย์ได้สร้างชื่อเสียงและได้รับรางวัลในเวทีการประกวดระดับเอเชีย
การแข่งขันประกวดซอฟต์แวร์ APICTA 2020-2021 เนื่องจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2019 ทางผู้จัดงานจึงได้รวบรวมผลงานผู้เข้าแข่งขัน จากปี 2563 และ 2564 เข้าด้วยกัน และแข่งขันพร้อมกันในรูปแบบออนไลน์ ประกอบด้วย ประเทศต่าง ๆ ในเอเชียแปซิฟิค สามารถอ่านรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับ APICTAได้ที่ https://apicta.org/about-apicta/
